Bio

Dr. Skip Pilgrim has been playing the pedal steel guitar for over 45 years.  Skip is a recorded instrumentalist, published author,  public speaker, retired pastor, and the Founder and President of Stress Intervention Services LLC. (www.stressinterventionservices.com)

Skip begin playing at the age of 12.  He studied the steel guitar under the tutelage of his father Wendell Sr., who was also a accomplished non pedal steel guitarist.  Skip also was tremendously helped and inspired by other steel guitarist like Jerry Byrd, Jess Hudson,Maurice Anderson, Buddy Emmons, Jr. Knight and many others.  Skip is known for his smooth playing, clean tone and his ability to play all types of music.

Skip has performed with several Grand Ole Opry Stars and  was the staff steel guirtist at the Branson Opry House in Branson, Mo.  Today Skip stays busy speaking, recording and playing for church worship service, special groups and concerts.
